Option 1: Theme Analysis Option 2: Social Commentary

While the theme is the lesson we are supposed to learn, social commentary is the author’s warning, telling their audience that if their behavior doesn’t change, this story could be their future. Identify a contemporary social behavior Bradbury is addressing as social commentary by drafting an if/then statement.
For example, "If society doesn't stop doing behavior, then Bradbury's warning from the novel."
Option 3: Science Fiction Option 4: Science Fiction
“The Veldt” can also be considered Science Fiction because it contains plausible technology. Identify two technologies we have today that could develop into the technology of the Hadley household. Be sure to justify your response and discuss the tone of how they are portrayed in the text. “The Veldt” can be considered Science Fiction because it contains a human problem, rather than a technological one. Explain the person vs. person conflict in “The Veldt” and discuss how technology enhances the issue. Use at least two quotations as support of your response.
