Protecting Natural Resources
Environmentalists and other experts are working to draw attention to natural resource depletion. They are beginning efforts to preserve natural resources. They
want to make sure future generations will not have to live without Earth's most important natural
resources.
Normal citizens can take steps to preserve natural resources too. They can use energy efficient appliances and alternate forms of transportation like walking
cycling, and buses. They can even harvest rainwater for cleaning and watering plants. It is also
helpful to lower use, reuse as much as possible, and recycle what
cannot be used again.

Professionals are making strides toward preserving natural resources. Many countries now have specific rules regarding deforestation. They require that whatever
trees are knocked down must be replaced within a certain time frame. Alternative energy sources like wind, hydro, and solar power are helping to lower
dependence upon fossil fuels. Furthermore, homes and buildings are now being built in more energy efficient ways
With all of these steps and those to come, natural resources have a chance of being preserved for future generations.
