Corinne is a 37-year old woman who has been honorably discharged from the USMC after
serving in active combat in Iraq. Corinne is married, has two children, and works in the
sales department of a leading national retailer. She was a marine for nearly seven years. In
Iraq, she sustained knee and hip wounds which resulted in ending her service early. She
was seen by a mental health professional at the veteran's clinic when she started
experiencing the following symptoms: flashbacks, night sweats, insomnia, agitation, and
hypervigilance. She also reported drinking heavily, feelings of hopelessness, relationships
problems, and adverse physical symptoms. Corinne was diagnosed as having
O borderline personality disorder.
