Since starting my graduate program at Capella, learning about the practitioner-scholar method has been helpful in creating my long-term goals and my short-term goals. To become a BCBA in the future for me working with children, ages 5 to 10 years old who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), I have to start by obtaining my master's degree in Psychology. To achieve this goal, using critical thinking and other lessons I have learned in my first course on ethics and knowledge, to help me in my future career path. Apart from the lessons learned in my introduction course and continuing to learn in my other courses will help me with my long term future goals to become a BCBA. Using tools and learning more about American Board of Professional Psychology and the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, will be used in consideration to pursue my BCBA path along the way. The steps I will take to continue my vision of becoming a BCBA for children who are diagnosed with ASD.
