Mount Kinabalu is a large mountain on the island of
Borneo in Southeast Asia. It is made mostly of
granodiorite, which formed from cooling magma.
Mount Kinabalu is more than 13,000 feet tall. About
100,000 years ago, it was a cold and snowy
mountain. Today, Kinabalu has a warmer climate. It is
home to more than 300 species of birds and 6,000
species of plants.
