Read the passage below. Then, answer the question that follows.

"Milady?"

Lupe's eyes fluttered open, only to immediately be assailed by a blinding green light. She groaned and squeezed her eyes shut.

"Milady?" the voice called again.

A shadow cast over her and blocked the light trying to burn through her eyelids. Slowly, Lupe tried opening her eyes again. The green-haloed outline of someone standing above her came into focus. As her eyes adjusted, Lupe could make out the worried frown of a young woman around her age. The face was unfamiliar. The last thing Lupe remembered, she'd been walking home from the convenience store with a bag full of snacks for her and her twin brother. Her eyes had been glued to her phone as she crossed the street, too engrossed in rereading her favorite fantasy novel to notice the truck hurtling towards her—

"Milady, please say something," the woman above pleaded.

Lupe tried to ask why in the world this woman kept calling her 'Milady,' but only a sore-sounding gurgle came out. Her throat hurt, her head hurt, even her toes hurt. She felt, quite literally, like she had been hit by a truck. She must have survived and been taken to the hospital. Which meant that the woman had to be a nurse at the hospital. But she's too young, Lupe thought, and what's with this weird light? Am I on the ground?

Slowly, Lupe tried to push herself up to a sitting position. The floor beneath her hands was damp, rough stone. The woman sighed in relief and backed up to give Lupe some space.

"I was so worried when the potion exploded," the woman continued. "I thought the whole tower would come down."

This was definitely not a hospital. In fact, it looked more like a haunted greenhouse, complete with ominous lighting and creeping vines that covered the walls from floor to ceiling. Something bubbled and popped in a massive iron cauldron a few feet away from where Lupe sat. Lupe's heart began to race as her head whipped around to take in the rest of her surroundings.

"Where am I?" Lupe croaked. "Who are you?"

The young woman stepped closer. Lupe gawped at her. A pair of velvety black cat ears poked out from the woman's curly brown hair. They twitched and then flattened as the expression on the woman's face grew wary.

"Lady Aretha, don't you recognize me?" the woman asked.

Aretha, Lupe thought. The name sounded familiar... almost like...

"Pimry?" Lupe asked. There's no way.

The woman's face lit up and she clasped her hands together.

"Oh, Lady Aretha, you're all right!"

A freezing boulder dropped into Lupe's gut. Her mouth went desert-dry. If that was Pimry, and Pimry thought that she was Lady Aretha, then that meant that... somehow, Lupe had woken up in the world of her favorite novel. As the villain.

How does Lupe's perspective change over the course of the passage?

Lupe is initially annoyed that Pimry keeps asking her unusual questions but quickly becomes excited to realize she is a character in her favorite novel.
Lupe is initially terrified of Pimry's catlike features but feels more comfortable once she realizes who Pimry is.
Lupe is initially confused about what happened after she was hit by the truck but slowly becomes frightened as she realizes what is going on.
