Zeus
Patient: Zeus is an 80 yo Male. The patient was admitted last night from a nursing home with a diagnosis of PNA. Patient is unresponsive. Patient has a peripheral IV and a central line; a feeding tube and a foley catheter in place.
Physical findings: pulse 110 , regular, BP 15296, temp 39°C, respirations 24 , shallow and slightly labored. The left hemithorax is expanding more than the right; percussion note is dull over the right base. BS are diminished at the bases with rhonchi on expiration and fine crackles on inspiration on the right side.
Lab data: pH 7.52. PaCO₂ 26, HCO₃- 21, PaO₂ 53, SaO 291% on RA. Hgb 11.4. Hct 38, WBC 12200. 4,500-11,000 Resporatory alkalosis
