National Bank
متوترا
Jackson and the National bank had a rocky relationship. He
was
anti-bank and saw it as an overextension (too much
power) of federal power. He also thought too much of the
bank was in the hands of small groups of north-easterners
(not an evenly distributed representation of American
society). In his 2nd presidential term, Jackson ensured the
nonrenewal of the bank and the immediate fallout included
a lack of stable currency, no system of checks and balances
on local banks, and lending happening too freely. He vetoed
the renewal of the national bank, taking it away. This upset
many people.
