They might have to move states to live with her grandparents, and she will have to start all over in making new friends. She has overheard her parents talking about losing their house and using up her college savings to pay debts. Her life is suddenly going from normal, predictable, and happy, to uncertain and grim. She is shocked by all of the changes happening so quickly and afraid of the unknown future.
