Writing Assessment: Das Semester
This is your final writing assessment for the semester. Here is an opportunity for you to review and actually put to
use the vocabulary, grammar, and culture of the entire semester. You've previously written about and presented an
imaginary month in a German-speaking country. Sticking with that topic, focus on one weekend trip that you and
your friends took from Frankfurt to another city. You should do a little bit of Web-based research on the city you
choose so that you can report accurate details of how you got there, how much the fare cost, where you stayed, what
you saw, and what you did. This assessment should consist of 20 sentences in German narrating the weekend trip
with your friends. Include where you went, how you got there, what kind of shopping you did, what activities you
engaged in, etc., and you should use a variety of past tense verbs and vocabulary from the semester.
