GH is 22-year-old woman who present to the clinic for follow-up appointment. Client reports experiencing anticipatory anxiety related to being alone while pet sitting, as well as intrusive thoughts about a past relationship with Brandon, which has caused distress. Additionally, the client encountered interpersonal issues at work, leading to increased emotional dysregulation. The client's anxiety and intrusive thoughts have affected her ability to cope with being alone and have led to rumination about past relationships. Interpersonal conflicts at work have further exacerbated emotional distress and instability, impacting her daily functioning and well-being. The session focused on addressing the client's experiences with anticipatory anxiety, thoughts about a past relationship, interpersonal conflicts, and introducing coping strategies from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to manage symptoms of borderline personality disorder and Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
Diagnosis: Borderline personality disorder, GAD.
Treatment goal: Client will reduce self judgement and anxiety especially related to connecting in a meaningful way to others.
