This case does surprise me because Swanson being a former CEO of the defense contractor Raytheon, couldn't be expected to plagiarize contents of books from other sources. This is an absolute unethical behavior conducted by someone who has 42 year of experience and a well known reputation. The surprising thing to me is that he didn't even think of his reputation and all the goodwill which he had earned over the years before committing such crime.
