Cathy has lived on her property for 25 years and during that time believed that a 10 foot wide ally next to her property belonged to her. She builds a garage that can only be accessed by using the alleyway. After 25 years the owner of the property next door (Don) produces a deed indicating that the alleyway is in fact part of his property but he just has not been using it. He wants Cathy to stop using the alleyway so he can sell the 10 foot strip as part of his estate. If Cathy decides to file an action for adverse possession what five things will she have to prove to the court in order to get title to the property?
