Directions: You just read "These Wild Young People" by One of Them by John F. Carter. It
seems like every generation is "critiqued" by its elders, just like that one. Think about the
challenges of today's youth. What is the greatest challenge facing today's generation? What can
be done to help youth face it? Support your argument with evidence from the texts in previous
units, outside resources, or your own experience (or several of these). Write a minimum of ONE
PAGE. Have an introduction where you make your claim, two or three body paragraphs where
you address the issue and use textual evidence. Have a call to action paragraph where you
have solutions, and have a conclusion where you wrap up. You MAY include the call to action in
the concluding paragraph if you would like to do it that way.
