A student is writing a narrative for his teacher about two friends and their go-cart. Read the draft of the narrative and complete the task that follows. Have you ever been bored stiff, without any inspiration, during summer break? Just last summer, I encountered that exact situation. Consequently, I asked my friend, Joey, to come over and spend the afternoon with me. Our dilemma was that we could not decide what to do for enjoyment; however, we knew that we wanted to be outdoors. We scouted around the old, dilapidated shed and found some interesting articles, nothing fancy, but nevertheless, possibilities for making something worthwhile. After much debate, we concluded that building a go-cart would be the best way to use our energy. The go-cart wasn't elaborate, like the ones seen on TV, but it had four lawn mower tires, a plywood base, a steering wheel, and it traveled smoothly. It was difficult to push each other around on the gravel road; hence, a brilliant idea came to mind! We resolved to try it out on Jackson's Ridge, which we knew would provide a steep pitch down the hill. In one or two paragraphs, write the scene that might have occurred when the two friends went to Jackson's Ridge.
