The more Mia thought about it, she started to put all the puzzle pieces together and realized the pet control van had taken Lucky. Right when she realized she might never see Lucky again, she sprinted after the pet control van. On that bright beautiful day, Mia never thought that she might never see her dog again. But then when, Mia realized that if her parents found out that she had been in the forest, and lost Lucky she would be in so much trouble. While Mia stood there like a deer in the headlights, she had an idea. Maybe it was the sharp salt water or the pounding waves in Mia's ears that made her realize she could go and get Lucky by herself. No one would ever have to find out. That was the perfect plan. Mia sprinted as fast as she could to the pound. When she arrived, she asked the front desk lady if she had seen a white dog with black spots. Mia looked in the cage but couldn't see any white dog with black spots. Not even one dog that resembled Lucky.
