You just got a job working at a health-food store. For the past two weeks, you’ve undergone some extensive training and education on all the products the store has to offer. You feel confident that you can give sound advice and assistance to any customer who comes in. Today, a man walks in with a list in his hand. He keeps looking down at the list and then around the store, as if he’s trying to locate certain items. You know he sees you there with your apron and nametag on, but he doesn’t ask for help. You step closer. “Is there anything I can assist you with?” you politely ask. “No!” the customer replies rudely. “I’m just here to pick up a few things, and I don’t need any help, so please just stay out of my way!” You look at his list and see it has organic apples on it, but the customer is already headed toward the wrong side of the store. What can you do?
