Physical - During ages 6-11 kids head size is increase by one inch, growing more than 2 inches each year, and are also gaining 6-7 pounds each years. When is comes to girls, breast development are able to start as early as ages 8. When boys begin puberty it make begin as early as 9 but 11 is the average age it will begin. When I was 6 I was still little but was growing from previous years. By the age of 9-10 I was probably one of the tallest girls in my age group and everyone always asked me how because my mom was so little. Cognitive - At this age kids are able to think more organized thinking more logically and understand the concept of conservation. By ages 7 kids are understanding reversibility, able to decenter, as well as understand identity. Kids are using complex grammar to communicate different language functions.Piaget cognitive theory helps identify these things in child. I was able to do more complicated mathematical problems because of the growth. Social - During this kids have social influence that increases because of school. In Erikson’s theory is has the Industry vs. inferiority which means if kids are seeing that there abilities are better than peers than they experience industry. If kids see that they are not quite as capable at others than they feel inadequacy. This stage of development is how kids are able to gain self-confidence. Kids are able to respond to other kids emotions and are able to be aware of familiar faces and which faces are strangers. By age 11 kids are able to be bullied are bullying other kids because they are getting older and are trying to defend one of their friends. Or they bully someone because they don;t look like they do. Getting bullied is something that is hard to deal with because not everyone will believe you. BUt the decrease of bullying does decrease as kids grow older. During these ges I was more out there and didn’t care for others opinion because I wasn’t the shy type anymore
