PERIOD 1: Create an HERBIVORE that would live in the following environment: grasslands with sparse bushes and trees. The region is characterized by a short rainy season followed by long periods of drought. Competition is fierce for the the grasses and bushes when they are lush for a few months after the rainy season. The trees produces fruits and have green leaves throughout the year but the trunks have large thorns and are home to territorial primates. There are few sources of water and many predators guarding them. The temperature is warm throughout the year.​
