Michael works as a clerk in the Orphans Court of the Chester County Court of Common Pleas, and he is also an expert wood carver. He and his wife Beatrice (a federal judge) are active members in their Christian Church and seek to "put the Christ back into Christmas" as they believe the Christmas holiday has become over commercialized. Mike has crafted a beautiful hand carved nativity scene depicting the baby Jesus and he decides to display this nativity scene in the front yard of his family's home in Exton, Chester County.
