Does this sound good? would you suggest any corrections? :

Good morning,

This past pay period I noticed a discrepancy on my check. For the past two months I have been waiting for my FTE to be adjusted from 0.5 to 0.575 due to a shift change last September. This resulted in roughly 24 hours of back pay and my PPL being adjusted. This mistake was to be rectified on my 5/17 check, however I believe this check is also incorrect. It shows a gross amount of $2, 149.98, while my net pay is $742. I worked overtime during this pay period which is reflected on the check, as well as my shift differentials and the previously mentioned FTE change that reflected the back pay. The check also does not reflect any garnishments. However, the pre-tax deductions are extremely high at $1,281, causing my check to be smaller than it would have been before the FTE was adjusted. This action caused me to be underpaid for the work I preformed had the adjustments not been reflected on the check. I believe this was done in error and I am reaching out to inquire about proper channels to rectify the matter expeditiously.
