Eowin just had surgery. The surgery itself went well, and need not concern us here. But due to blood pressure changes during the operation, her kidneys were short of blood flow and oxygen for about an hour, and she has developed a condition called ATN that leads the kidneys to transiently create very large volumes of urine. Her total body fluid volume is down nearly 4 liters, and nearly a liter of that has come from the vascular space, leading to a low vascular volume. She has otherwise recovered from surgery and was fairly healthy before surgery. For Eowin, is the central venous compliance (inferior and superior vena cava) "increased", "decreased," or not significantly changed?
