re-write this My name is Nick Carraway, I work as a bond salesman and I live in West Egg. When I was younger, and in my more vulnerable years my father gave me a piece of advice that has strongly impacted on my outlook on life “Whenever you feel like criticizing anyone…just remember that all the people in this world haven’t had all the advantages that you’ve had” (1) because of these words of wisdom, I’m inclined to reserve all judgments which has led many interesting people to open up to me. My neighbour is Jay Gatsby, and over time we’ve become friends. When I first visited one of his parties, I’d first felt I had stayed too long as I was one of the last to leave, but then “…suddenly there seemed to be a pleasant significance in having been the last to go as if he had desired it all the time.”(53) He has come to confide in me a lot over the course of our friendship, and we were also comrades in the war, although I didn’t recognize him at first. Daisy is my cousin, and I often visit her and her husband Tom at their home in East Egg. I have also come to know Jordan quite well, who Daisy had introduced to me. When I first arrived in New York, I wasn’t sure I’d like it here but I have become enchanted, yet at the same time repelled by the fast, exciting variety of life that this state has to offer.
