New Colony Construction on Mars: So Tomorrow or So Yesterday?
Houston, Texas

NASA recently announced the discovery of pockets of atmosphere on Mars that would sustain human life. Plans for the first interplanetary colony were revealed shortly thereafter. Scientists put together a focus group of all ages to determine their needs if they were to make a new planet their home. Prior to the group discussion, scientists did inform the group that there would be no internet, only satellite communication that would take 5,700 light years to transfer data or reach recipients. All focus group members immediately left the room and turned down their opportunity to colonize Mars.
