Transfer of Training
One critical concern with training is that it be transferred. That is, that the training is used appropriately in the intended situations, and that the training is not limited to the training context. Near transfer refers to trainees' ability to apply learned capabilities exactly to the work situation. Far transfer refers to trainees' ability to apply learned capabilities to the work environment, even though the work environment (equipment, problems, and tasks) is not identical to that of the training session.
Using your own words, identify and explain both near and far transfer of training and their training theories.
