You are required to design an optical network for campus distribution (acc. to following figure).
The optic-fiber’s route start from a service provider’s man hole. It is fed into an equipment room from which our cables can wander off around the building towards the campus distributor. To connect a communication system to another building or another floor in the same building, the cables are taken from the campus connector (main cross-connect) to the building distributor (intermediate cross-connect) and from there to another floor distributor and then on to the work areas where it terminates at Telecommunications outlets.
Your design should cover (but not limited to) following aspects of system design;
Input power requirements
Type of optic fiber (modes)
Power losses (fiber, connectors, splices, bends etc.)
Room for future repairs
Useable bandwidth/minimum bandwidth requirements
