DIRECTIONS: Fix the fragment and comma splice errors in the following sentences using Word’s Track Changes. In at least two sentences, correct the error using subordination.

GRADING: Each sentence is worth 1 point.


1. Victor rose to the top of the class. When he got all A’s.

2. Winter weather shut down the city, however, the snow was beautiful.

3. Julio wanted to play soccer, he forgot his sneakers.

4. Roger has poor vision, thus he was not accepted into the Army.

5. Arthritis: inflammation of the joints.

6. Marcy hurt her foot while playing basketball, that same day she was invited to the prom.
