Corritore, Goldberg, & Srivastava (2020) suggest that "people who see the world differently and have diverse ideas and perspectives often bring creativity and innovation to an organization" (p6), but this is dependent on the extent to which the employee is an in-group or out-group member. Pull what you know about organizational culture and combine it with what we are learning about individual differences. How can an employee most effectively leverage both diversity (i.e., in terms of individual differences, not just demographics) and cultural fit and adaptability to perform at their best?
