t-test Results Section
Using the table above, we will write a results section for one significant difference and one non-significant difference.
Alpha = .05 (thus, if p < .05 it is said to be significant; if p > .05, it is not significant).
The table presents data from 1,430 student drivers and 880 teen drivers with violations who were asked to rate their perception of how risky various driving behaviors are on a scale from least dangerous (1) to most dangerous (5).
For the significant difference you used for the question above, calculate the 95% confidence interval for the mean of each group. Do the 95% confidence intervals overlap? How does this relate to results from the t-test?
