A CFP® professional may disclose a client’s personal identifiable information without the specific consent of the client if: ONE: It is in response to proper legal process. TWO: It is to defend against charges of wrongdoing by the CFP® professional. THREE: It is in connection with a civil dispute between the CFP® professional and the client. FOUR: It is in response to a request from the Internal Revenue Service.
