The conclusion from a 40-state poll conducted by the Joint Council on Economic Education is
that students do not learn enough economics. The findings were based on test results from
11th- and 12th-grade students who took a 46-question, multiple choice test on basic economic
concepts such as profit and the law of supply and demand. The following table gives sample
