Slope intercept equation of line looks like y=ax+b, where a is slope and b is y-intercept. You have to just put -3/2 as slope and -5 as intercept
[tex]y=- \frac{3}{2}x-5[/tex] -its the result
y= -3/2x-5

the formula for slope and y-intercept is y=mx+b so  you would just have to plug it slope for m and the y-intercept for b. since your y-intercept is negative,you would subtract your y-intercept from your slope. your slope is rise over run. you would mark your y-intercept (b) on the graph first and then do your slope. always go up/down  first and then left/right for slope. :) remember to always put an x after your slope when writing your equation. this is fresh in my mind because i am in algebra 1 honors and i have mastered it
