Let,
the no. of women be "x"
Also, the question says, there were 4 more man than women.
So, total no. of men = 4 + x

Now,
according to the question,
x + (4 + x) = 12
      2x + 4 = 12
            2x = 12 - 4
              x = 8 / 2
              x = 4

Now,
x + 4 = (4) + 4
        = 8

So, there were 4 women and 8 men in the jury
