Cone: A cone has a curved face and a flat face. The flat face is a circle, the curved face is a curved triangle. A sphere just has one curved face, which you cannot obtain from a 2D shape. The sphere is a ball and has the crosssection of a circle, which is a round shape with one side and no corners.
