Explain the advantages and disadvantages of a dynamo compared with batteries for bicycle lights

Answer :

Answers
Advantages.
1. Dynamos have no running cost. That means one bought they do not any running cost.
2. The power from the dynamo do not run out. As long as the bicycle is moving there will be enough lighting.
3. It environmental friendly. Dynamo do not use toxic chemicals to dispose.

Disadvantages

1. There can only be light if the bicycle is moving. Before the rider starts moving there is not light at all.
2. Whenever the speed reduces the light becomes dimmer. This means the rider has to maintain a certain speed for there to be enough light.
3. It require energy from the rider for there to be light. He has to keep on pending to maintain the motion of the bicycle.

Answer: Hello mate!

The advantages are:

- The dynamo does not require a power supply, which makes it cheaper, this is powered by the motion of the wheel.

- This is more environment-friendly because you don't need to change anything in the dynamo for it to stay functional

Disadvantages:

- Dynamos can store some energy, but in general, you need to move if you want to activate the light, if you stop, also the light. Also, a change in your velocity can imply a change in the intensity of the light, which also means that there is a minimum velocity needed to turn on the light.

- You may find a little more resistance when you pedal, this is because the dynamo is applying resistance (by friction) in the wheel.
