What causes rain ?
During water cycle, when evaporated earth's water are condensed leads to formation of clouds, fall of water droplet called as rain which is a precipitation.
The process starts with absorption of water from different water bodies in the form of vapor which enter into atmospheric air.
This hot air containing water expands and cool down when it reach a height.
When the temperature will be down, water vapor converted into water droplets called as condensation which is facilitated by dust and other particles.
Then the water droplets cluster together to form huge water masses to from cloud and precipitate in the form of rain. In some cases the if the temperature is low, precipitation become snow.
