It wont be a because of the fact the war had just ended, the veterans were traumatized and both physically and mentally unstable. Not C, the civil rights movement was begging around this time period so they had a long journey. That leaves you with B and D. The economy was not the best in the 1950's so people looking for jobs didn't really make the cut.
