to divide a fraction, you turn the numerator and denominator around, and multiply by the number you originally would divide it by. so you go 3/1 times by 5. so it is 15/1 so 15.

5 ÷ ( 1 / 3 ) = 5 × ( 3 / 1 ) = 15 / 1 = 15 ;
