It is the Revolutionary War. Gage dissolved the General Court that was to be replaced by men appointed by King George III. Paul Revere was a member of the Sons of Liberty’s Committee of Safety. The British were going to Concorde. To let the town people know what route the British were going to take, they used one lamp for the southern route and two for the crossing.
