Observe the day-to-day process in the library to ensure that they are consistent with copyright obligations and organisational policies and procedures. Things to look for:
- people are following procedures and copyright legislation
- photocopiers and computers display the prescribed notice stating fair dealing provisions.
- library users are signing a fair dealing declaration confirming a copy, you are making for them, is for their
- personal research or study, and they haven't previously been supplied with a copy of the same item. -declarations are kept in chronological order for four years
- copies of copies are not kept
- check the library isn't lending infringing copies of material -ensure there is nothing in the collection that infringes copyright.
