EXERCISE 2.
Change the following into the Indirect form of speech:
1. Sarika said, "My father served in Allahabad before retirement."
2. The teacher said, "My students were playing cricket before sunset yesterday."
3. "They didn't treat me fairly last year," he said.
4. Shruti said, "I have lost my watch today."
5. He said to me, "You are my student and I am your teacher."
6. He said to his mother, "I will come here next month to see you"
7. Arvind said, "I bought a bike last year and gave it to my brother."
8. She said to me, "I have often told you not to play with fire."
9. They wrote, "It is time we thought about settling this matter."
10. She wrote, "I am waiting, watching and longing for my son's return."
11. The prince said, "It gives me great pleasure to be here this evening."
12. She said to him, "I don't believe you now."
13. He said, "My friend will come to me the day after tomorrow."
14. His mother said, "The room was very hot last night."
15. She said, "I am glad to be here this morning."
