A building contractor, Mr. BEST Builder requests you to develop a context and DFD, for his system to be built. The requirements are as follows.
When Mr. Best receives a request for quotation (RFQ) from an owner, he files the specifications in the specification’s drawer. Later, he retrieves the specifications of the owner from the cabinet drawer as well as the available contractors from his list of contractors to request a quote for the labour from these contractors.
When Mr. Best receives the labour quotes from the various contractors, he stores these labour quotes in the quote’s drawer of the cabinet. As soon as he has received all the labour quotes, he retrieves the best quote as well as the materials needed (from an Excel work sheet) to determine his final quote for the owner which then includes the labour and materials to be used. Mr. Best then sends the owner his final quote. If the owner accepts the quote, Mr. Best then prepares a contract of the agreement between him and the owner and he stores the contract in the contracts file.
