B. The Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling is an excellent set of stories for children and young adults. Adults
can thoroughly enjoy it as well. There are many reasons to consider it a great contribution to its genre. To
begin with, it teaches readers about the value of friendship and the importance of choosing one's own
path. The main character, Harry, is brought up in an abusive home and presented with multiple
opportunities to become bitter or evil, but does not. He chooses to be kind, and loyal, and even fights
against evil. This teaches readers that, even in awful situations, they have a choice about their own beliefs
and behaviours. The story is also very entertaining. In each book, the main characters go on an exciting
adventure and encounter, and overcome, new challenges. There is substantial suspense and humour
involved along the way. Finally, the world created by J.K. Rowling is richly detailed and enchanting. The
secret lives that wizarding people lead, hidden from "muggles" involve a complex government, an
international sports league, and a whole array of magical tools for getting through life-like traveling by
flu powder or on the Knight Bus, or communicating by owl post-plus the actual magic spells and potions
that people use. It is easy to see why so many people have become fans of the
Harry Potter universe. If
you haven't read the series yet, there is no reason in the world why you shouldn't go get started
today
