Situation 2:
In a population of peacocks, some have very bright feathers and some have dull feathers. The females are drawn to the peacocks with bright feathers as mates. Foxes hunt nearby this population and some peacocks are unable to mate before being eaten by foxes. Over many generations, most of the peacocks have bright tail feathers and fewer have dull tail feathers.
