The construction company of Mrs Kensington has specialized in fine art stucco-type home improvements. The most common ingredients required for her crews of artisans are limestone, CaCO₃, as well as gypsum ("Plaster of Paris"), CaSO₄ - both greyish to off-white powders that are insoluble in water supplied by a large company, Chaos Enterprises. Mrs Kensington's trade secret is the perfect blend between these two powders as this will give the best-performing stucco base - and her customers love it!

Unfortunately, one morning Chaos Enterprises informs her that the labels on some of the bags with gypsum and limestone powders might have been confused, i.e. there is now uncertainty whether Mrs Kensington's mixture contains just the right amounts of the two compounds. But simply throwing away the mixture at hand and starting all over is not an option due to the costs involved. As she does not want to risk upsetting her customers she recalls that you are a student of Chemistry at NMU and - therefore - you get a phone call from her in which she tells you that you are her only hope in finding a solution to this problem.
