Criteria for Naturalization

- Be at least 18 years old
- Live permanently in the United States for at least 5 years (with a green card), or for 3 years if married to an American citizen
- Have lived in the United States for at least 30 months of those 5 years
- Be able to read and speak English
- Be of good moral character
