Supervision Checklist

What needs to be checked:

1. Understanding Exclusions:
- Educators understand situations where they need to exclude children according to service policies and procedures.

2. Active Supervision:
- Educators are seen supervising children, following the service supervision policy and procedure.
- Educators are aware of the environment when supervising.
- Educators are standing in appropriate positions.
- Educators are observed interacting with children and adults, yet they never overlook their responsibilities to supervise.
- Educators can be seen not just listening to others, but also scanning the area for potential risks/hazards.
- Educators actively supervise groups and individuals in the play area.
