Instructions to Learners:
The project must be based on the effects of apartheid laws and people's responses. It must have two parts: written research and interview (oral history).
Written Research:
- About details of any apartheid law, its effects, and people's responses.
- Must contain 300 words.
- Must have two illustrations, e.g., maps, drawings, pictures from newspapers, or photographs with captions.
Oral History (Interview):
- Identify a person or people to interview.
- Interview a person who was affected by and responded to the apartheid laws.
- Write down 10 questions before conducting the interview.
- Write down the interviewee's answers during the interview. You may record the interview and transcribe it later, but it takes a lot of time to do.
- Write a story of 600 words about the person you have interviewed.
- Write a paragraph reflecting on your experiences of doing this project.
Submission Requirements:
- 300 words - written research (details about ONE apartheid law).
- Questions and answers from the interview.
- 600 words - story about the person you interviewed.
- A paragraph about your reflections on doing this project.
