1.2 Types of risky behaviour

Six common risky situations youth face include substance abuse, unprotected sexual activity, reckless driving, bullying, involvement in criminal activities, and unhealthy diet/lifestyle choices.

1.3 Factors causing risky behaviour

Various factors contribute to risky behavior among teenagers. For each risky situation mentioned above, factors such as peer pressure, lack of parental supervision, societal influences, impulsivity, low self-esteem, and inadequate knowledge or awareness can play a role.
