George H.W. Bush passed away on November 30, 2018, at the age of 94. In his later years, Bush had a form of Parkinson's disease that forced him to use a wheelchair or motorized scooter. He had been in and out of hospitals as his health declined. In April 2018, a day after attending his wife Barbara's funeral, he was treated for an infection that had spread to his blood. However, Bush proved resilient each time, telling well-wishers in 2013 to "put the harps back in the closet".
